When you are ready to start the process of buying a home, you'll need to create a wish list and set a budget. If you plan to obtain a mortgage loan, the most important first step is to connect with a lender to get pre-approved. A pre-approval letter will help you to better understand your buying power, and illustrate your readiness to purchase a home. Obtaining a pre-approval is crucial, as most sellers will not allow showings and/or offers on their homes without it!
